The Best's Great Western Thomson Family Shiraz is an iconic cool climate Shiraz from Victoria’s Grampians region. The grapes used for this wine come mostly from the vines from the original 1868 plantings, dating back to pre-phylloxera. The grapes are hand-harvested, selected and sorted and then hand plunged and fermented in small open fermenters. The wine is only produced in years when the quality is second to none and the 2017 vintage in particular was a spectacular one being awarded 99 points.
